You’re Sew Nice…

It’s time for another week at DDSC.  This week our challenge is: Circles.  Now that’s not too difficult.  I chose to cut my image out with a scalloped circle die, then used a dark shadow for it, and finally a doily.  So, just that easily I have three circles on my card.  I’ve taken a peek at the DT’s cards and being that they are so very talented, you will love their cards, so be sure to stop by and check them out.

I had this plan to go way out and scan several sewing items for my background paper, but I got lazy (lol) and just decided to use some lovely argyle embossed card stock instead.

I’ve colored the image with Prismacolor pencils, added a few buttons, a bow and did a little faux stitching.  I cut through the back of the card and pulled some blue ribbon out and let it come down the front of the basket, just wish I’d let it go a little further now.

I’m entering this in the following challenges:

Crafts 4 Eternity – sketch
Stamp Something – digi
One Stitch at a Time - digi
Pile It On – starts with a “b” – button
Daisy Doodle Creative Challenges – anything
My Craft Spot – friends
Crazy Challenge – stripes (in dp paper)
Papertake Weekly – anything
Crafts and Me Challenges – buttons & bows
Flutterby Wednesdays – butterfly
My Mum’s Craft Shop Challenges – layers
Corrosive Challenges - puns
Stamps R Us - friendship
Crafty Boots Challenges - anything

Don’t forget to stop by the Shop and check out the beautiful images.  There’s a great sale going on this month.

Thanks again for stopping by, and I look forward to hearing your comments.

Hugs,

Your embossing for this is a superb match. I like your idea about the paper but think it would have overshadowed he design and this works perfectly.

Many thanks for joining in with our Use a Digi challenge over at OSAAT

Hi DJ,
What a wonderful blog you have, I love all your creations and this latest card is beautiful. I will certainly be back for more. I love how the embossing looks like basket weave and I love that ribbon popping out the basket, very clever! Thankyou for your very lovely comment that you left for me too, Hugs, Teresa x
