Horse in his stall...

I'm not sure if it was just too early or that I was still tired that I couldn't think of a witty name for this card.  I know that I didn't get much sleep last night, but that's normal for me.  This is my card for the  Digi Doodle's Best  challenge.  I know everyone loves the "anything goes"  challenges, so why not go to the store and grab one of their great images (not that you have to use their image) and join in.  They have a great sale going on.

This beautiful fellow is actually from one image, and the barn is from another.  I cut a young girl off of the horse, then I cut a hole from above the stall door.   I used mostly browns and greys with my Prismacolors to do the coloring. There are six (6) layers of paper and card stock if you count the paper the image is on. The layers are distressed with Tim Holtz's  distressing inks. The beautiful brown ribbon at the bottom is some purchased at Joann's.  And finally I thought it was interesting that the card itself  looks like a picture in a frame.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:

Digi Stamps 4 Joy - boy or man
Paper Romance - distressing
Crafty Purple Frog Challenge - a thing of beauty
Color Create Challenge Blog - white/cream/brown

I hope you enjoy my card.  I'll be sorting out and drawing a name later today for the challenge winners.  If you still want to join in, you need to get ALL of the requirements done before I get going again.  There are some that I can't find their posts to DDSB stating that I had referred them.

Hugs,

Your coloring is really great! I clicked the picture and viewed it at maximum size :-) Then I also saw that this ribbon was a good haul - it´s very beautiful and perfect for this card!

Unusual for most girls I was always a little afraid of horses... my aunt owned two and they were so "big" and "powerful" - I watched them only from a secure distance ;-)

Nice card, Debbie. Tweety went through a horse thing when she was 7 or 8. Now she's back to cats. :-)
I bet I know who this is for, did she just get baptized?

Fabulous card, and your colouring is awesome..(never used that word in my life till a came into blogland lol). So clever how you have layered the paper to make it look like a frame...the ribbon/lacy thing at the bottom is the perfect touch to set it all off. Love the images BTW. Hugs lin
