Faith - Last but not least.

Well, finally this is the fourth of the Sugar Nellie images that I purchased a while back.  Her name is Faith and I thought that she was gorgeous.  I know a few have made comments that they find the little girls somewhat melancholy, but I find that makes them more intriguing.  I used papers from DCWV and some from my stash.  I thought I was being really cool reversing the colors on the matting behind Faith.  But it took me forever to get the angle just right to cut the mat out correctly.  Then I realized that I had made the mat so that only an eighth of it even showed.  LOL. I've used my Prismacolor pencils to color her and I used various other items from my stash.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:

I Did It - sketch
Paper Playtime - digi and anything
The Corrosive Challenge Blog - green

Very pretty Debbie! There is something very intriguing about these images. I love their eyes. She is colored beautifully. I know you colored her hat, but it is so good it looks paper pieced! Her hair has that nice shine too. That mat does look cool, even though it took so long to do. Congrats on another win! (Can't remember with who, but its on Feline)

Hi dj,

How pretty your card is! I like the strong splash of RED and I think she´s really beautifully colored by you!

I´m so sorry that you have to suffer from migraine... I had strong migraine-attacks a few years ago, luckily it´s better now ... so I can understand the pain - I hope it will be gone tomorrow!!

Get well soon!
Hugs,
Uli

Hi Debbie, thank yo so much for your visit and your comment on my blog. Always much apprechiated. You asked me about the butterfly I used. I bought it at a local store here as an easter decoration. But added by myself the ribbon and the pins on the back of the butterfly.
Your blog looks great. I'll come and see what's new here from time to time.
Hugs and happy crafting,

I don't find them melancholic either, they are so beautiful and if anything a little dreamy and thoughtful. I've not made any cards with mine yet...i'm so naughty. I love what you've done with her and the papers an embellis are perfect. Hugs lin

True, about what people are saying about melancholy, but your colorine (what ever is the correct word colourine, coloring, colored...?) is every single time amazing with these girls. This one I admire most the hair and eyes.
Thank you for letting us to enjoy wonderful creations. <3
