Last But Not Least…

I’ve been waiting on posting this framed work, because I’m not sure if it has been received yet.  However, I'm pretty sure it has by now.  So, here's the last of the framed work I did for my Pay-It-Forward projects

This is using another image that I adore; those by Prairie Fairy.  She’s been colored about three times and then pop-dotted to give depth.  Isn’t she so scholarly? LOL.

Black and pink is one of the favorite color combinations of this friend.  The contrast is fantastic.

Fourth Wall Hanging

This is the fourth of five wall hangings I did as my Pay-It-Forward projects.  Sometimes I don’t know why I take on some of the projects that I do, other than the fact that I really like to surprise people with my work.  I don’t think I’ll be doing any more of these for a while, unless I decide to do one for myself.

I’m not going into a lot of detail, as most of the items I used are self-explanatory.  As in the card posted before this one, the dies are all by Cheery Lynn Designs. The image is one of those adorable images by Wee Stamps. The way the oval frame is made to stand out a little more, is by tracing the die in a darker color, cutting it out and adhering it to the frame.

On each project I used one of the favorite Bible Scriptures that each person likes.

I’m entering this project in the following challenges:

Love Begins with Friendship

Well, as you can see, I have another anniversary card; and no puns this time around.

This is for a couple who we’ve known the husband since he was a young brat, I mean boy. LOL.  They have been happily married for eight years now.  I did this card in one of my favorite colors, I’m not sure if you can see, but the red background paper is lightly embossed with hearts.  The image is by Digi Doodle Shop; I thought they were so sweet.  Her dress and his shirt is paper pieced and then shaded over, to add depth.

All of the doilies are by Cheery Lynn Designs.  I love, love, love their die cuts.  The paper at the top of the card and the bottom doily under the image is by Basic Grey. The doilies top might have looked better if they were cut a little darker, or backed with a dark color, but at this point I decided not to trash it and start over. And don’t you just love the Victorian Romance Flourish?  How do you like the idea of using them like a frame?

The pearls there and on the lace are a very deep red, even though they look a little more like black. The bow is another one that was made with the Bow-Easy. The flowers and lace are from my stash.

I’m entering this card in the following challenges:

Third Hanging Project…

So here’s the framed wall hanging I did for some of my friends in the Pay-It-Forward project I took on last year.  This is one of my favorites, mostly because it used the colors I like the best.  I really love lavenders and all its shades.  This is also one of the favorite colors for my friend, too.

I just love the Wee Stamps image and all of the Cheery Lynn Designs dies that I’ve used.  The glitter that’s on the doily, behind the image was a happy accident.  I sprayed what I thought was the back of the die cut to adhere it to my paper, instead I had sprayed the front.  So the only thing I could think to do was to pour glitter over it and heat seal it.  And yeah!  It worked.  All of the gems by Recollections were added to have lots of bling, too, since I know my friend loves bling.

The flourish worked perfectly for the flowers and bow I made with my Bow-Easy. Stitching, faux or real seems to add so much to a project, so I finished it off with that.

My friend really enjoys this scripture, so it’s even more personal to her.  I’m hoping it will be enjoyed for years to come.

I’m entering this in the following challenges:

Allsorts Challenge – anything
Truly Madly Crafty – ribbon and bling
