Hi again! I’ve let my get well and thinking of you cards get a little low. So I decided to get a few done. This is such a cute image and is one of the first that I ever purchased. It is from Di's Digital Challenge.
It is colored with Prismacolors and Gamsol. I’ve decorated it with several dies from Cheery Lynn Designs. The paper is by Paper Studio, sold by the sheet. I made the flower and topped it with a decorative button. And the gems are by Reflections.

Just an update…
Hi, to all my followers. Sorry I’ve being absent for so long. I’m just burned-out and I've had a few additional health issues lately. I do have a few things in the works, but I know it will probably be a bit longer before I get anything posted.
When I return, I’m planning on having a small candy give-away to thank the 30,000 visitors to my blog. (Probably not much for several of you, but I’m thrilled.)
Hugs,

A Sad Occasion - 3
Finally I’m through with sympathy cards for one family. This is for the sister. She’s taking it hard, too, because he was younger than she is. I hate that it took me so long to get the cards done, but my health was giving me more problems than usual.
I hope she will like this because I took a chance in doing tulips and used what I would consider non-traditional colors.
I was going to use soft colors, but I just couldn’t find papers in my stash that I really needed, so I decided to us distress inks. As in the last card, the image is by Fred She Said. They do such pretty flowers, as well as other images. The papers are DCWV and the image is colored with Prismacolors.
The die cuts are Nestibilities and the punches on the inside are MS. The ribbon and pearls are from my stash.
I’m entering this card in the following challenges:
That Craft Place Challenge – sketch
Corrosive Challenges – punches
Great Impressions – dies or punches
Crazy Challenge – recipe: ribbon,pearls,dies
Bearly-Mine Challenges – flowers
Paper Playtime – sentiment
Divas By Design – dies
Pattie's Creations Challenge -- monochromatic
Phindy's Place Challenge -- plaid or gingham
2 Sisters Challenge Blog -- anything
Allsorts -- dies
Truly Madly Crafty Challenge -- monochromatic
Sweet Stampin' Challenge -- bows and ribbon

A Sad Occasion - 2
This is the second of four sympathy cards I’ve needed to make the last couple of weeks. This is the hardest of the ones I’ve made, because it’s for my friend who has now become a widow. It is really sad for me to now think of her in this manner. She is only about four or five years older than I am, which isn’t really that old.
She loves African Violets, but I didn’t have any, so I hope she will enjoy these pansies just as much. They are by Fred She Said.
The background paper is done with an embossing plate by Cheery Lynn Designs that has been rubbed with distress ink. Inside I’ve used MS punch-around-the-page, pansy punches.
I’m entering this in the following challenges:
The Sweet Stop – sketch
Corrosive Challenges – punches
Great Impressions – punches or dies
The Crazy Challenge – recipe – ribbon, pearls, dies
Shelly’s Images – anything
Little Miss Muffet – layers
Pattie’s Creations – monochromatic
Truly Madly Crafty – monochromatic
Daisy Doodles – anything
Lollipop Crafts – flowers
Hotshot Crafts – distress inks
Aud Sentiments -- bingo: flowers, embossing, thinking of you
Ladybug Crafts -- 2 of something: stamped sentiment - 1 inside, 1 outside
Divas By Design -- dies
Paper Play Challenges -- dies
Delightful Challenges -- anything
Paper Playtime -- sentiments
For Your Inspirations -- photo inspiration - lavenders
Bearly-Mine Challenges -- flowers
Everybody-Art-Challenge -- thinking of you
Cutie Pie Challenge -- real or faux stitching

For a Sad Occasion…
It’s always hard for me to do a sympathy card. I guess part of it is because I hate to think the person has died, and for the grief of the family.
Here’s one of a couple that I did for a dear family member’s son. I’m not that great doing plain and simple, but since this is for a male I felt it would work. The stamp and sentiment is heat embossed and the paper is actually a burgundy color, not purple. I also used a technique by Gina K. Designs on embossing the gold edged paper.
I’m entering this is the following challenges:
Just Keep on Creating – anything
The Paper Shelter – anything
Amusing Challenge – heat embossing
Pattie’s Creations Design – male
Crafting For All Seasons - for men
Do You Stack Up - masculine

Purrrfectly Sweet Couple
Hello. Well, so much for trying to post more often. LOL. I just can’t stay motivated, or know what I want to do anymore. This is a card for a couple’s anniversary tomorrow. She really loves cats, so I thought this would be appreciated. The image is by Robyn's Fetish, called Pussy Cat Love.
I decorated the inside of this style card after I saw Sandy Hulsart of Cheery Lynn Designs do it. She’s a fantastic designer. All of my Dies are by Cheery Lynn Designs. The two largest purple roses are made using the Small Rose die, the large white flower, using “Sweet William”. I’ve also used the Tropical Flourish,Grass Border, the Kiwi Oval Frame and the Small French Lattice frame, that I cut down and used on both sides of the card. The paper is called Jelly Bean by Basic Grey
The other items are silk flower buds with buttons in their center and MS butterfly and punched flowers around the sentiment on the inside. Oh, and I did use two colors of Tim Holtz distressing inks.

Thinking of You Card Set…
Hi again. I needed a couple of sympathy cards last week, and while I have cards that I could have used for that purpose, I thought they were a little too cutesy.
I'm not much on making simple cards, because the ones I've made just seem unfinished with the one layer. After giving it some thought I decided to turn to someone I consider the master of such cards; Gina K. Designs, of Stamp TV. After searching through some of her recent posts, I found I liked this card. (This link will take you to her video.)
It’s easy to make, and I really like the results. I did these cards assembly-line style. As you can see I used green and blue distress inks. The stamp is by Stampability, and the ribbons are from Michaels' dollar bin; and of course you can use any sentiment you want.
I’m entering these in the following challenges:
Karen’s Doodles – spring
Lollipop Crafts – spring
Love to Create Challenge – friends
Die Cuttin Divas – garden
Shelly’s Images – anything
Craft Us Crazy – flowers
Wags ‘n Whiskers – anything
Craft Room Challenge – ink it, no digis
Crafty Boots – no girls allowed
Bunny Zoe – ribbon or twine
Thank you for stopping by again to see my work. If you'll leave me a comment, I'll try to get by and check your's, too.
Hugs,
dj1952 (Debra)

To a Berry Special Couple…
No, you’re not imagining anything; I’m really posting a new project finally. I’ve just had issues, which I know many can understand.
I was invited to be a guest designer over at Paper Creations Ink this week for their challenge number 23, “April Showers Bring May Flowers”.
Their sponsor this challenge is Tiffany Doodles, and this is my use of the image. These flowers are special they bring mouth-watering fruit, too. It has been colored a couple of times and some pop-dotted on top of some, and others are just in the background. Some are even behind this “small French lattice” by Cheery Lynn Designs.

Last But Not Least…
I’ve been waiting on posting this framed work, because I’m not sure if it has been received yet. However, I'm pretty sure it has by now. So, here's the last of the framed work I did for my Pay-It-Forward projects
This is using another image that I adore; those by Prairie Fairy. She’s been colored about three times and then pop-dotted to give depth. Isn’t she so scholarly? LOL.

Fourth Wall Hanging
This is the fourth of five wall hangings I did as my Pay-It-Forward projects. Sometimes I don’t know why I take on some of the projects that I do, other than the fact that I really like to surprise people with my work. I don’t think I’ll be doing any more of these for a while, unless I decide to do one for myself.
I’m not going into a lot of detail, as most of the items I used are self-explanatory. As in the card posted before this one, the dies are all by Cheery Lynn Designs. The image is one of those adorable images by Wee Stamps. The way the oval frame is made to stand out a little more, is by tracing the die in a darker color, cutting it out and adhering it to the frame.
On each project I used one of the favorite Bible Scriptures that each person likes.
I’m entering this project in the following challenges:
Scrapper’s Delights – bling
Deep Ocean Challenge – spring
Papertake Weekly Challenge – anything
Divas by Design – favorite things: flowers

Love Begins with Friendship
Well, as you can see, I have another anniversary card; and no puns this time around.
This is for a couple who we’ve known the husband since he was a young brat, I mean boy. LOL. They have been happily married for eight years now. I did this card in one of my favorite colors, I’m not sure if you can see, but the red background paper is lightly embossed with hearts. The image is by Digi Doodle Shop; I thought they were so sweet. Her dress and his shirt is paper pieced and then shaded over, to add depth.
All of the doilies are by Cheery Lynn Designs. I love, love, love their die cuts. The paper at the top of the card and the bottom doily under the image is by Basic Grey. The doilies top might have looked better if they were cut a little darker, or backed with a dark color, but at this point I decided not to trash it and start over. And don’t you just love the Victorian Romance Flourish? How do you like the idea of using them like a frame?
The pearls there and on the lace are a very deep red, even though they look a little more like black. The bow is another one that was made with the Bow-Easy. The flowers and lace are from my stash.
I’m entering this card in the following challenges:
Paper Play Challenges – something old (lace), something new (digi)
Jellypark Friends – favorite film: Grease

So here’s the framed wall hanging I did for some of my friends in the Pay-It-Forward project I took on last year. This is one of my favorites, mostly because it used the colors I like the best. I really love lavenders and all its shades. This is also one of the favorite colors for my friend, too.
I just love the Wee Stamps image and all of the Cheery Lynn Designs dies that I’ve used. The glitter that’s on the doily, behind the image was a happy accident. I sprayed what I thought was the back of the die cut to adhere it to my paper, instead I had sprayed the front. So the only thing I could think to do was to pour glitter over it and heat seal it. And yeah! It worked. All of the gems by Recollections were added to have lots of bling, too, since I know my friend loves bling.
The flourish worked perfectly for the flowers and bow I made with my Bow-Easy. Stitching, faux or real seems to add so much to a project, so I finished it off with that.
My friend really enjoys this scripture, so it’s even more personal to her. I’m hoping it will be enjoyed for years to come.
I’m entering this in the following challenges:
Allsorts Challenge – anything
Truly Madly Crafty – ribbon and bling
Fairy Tale Challenge Blog – spring
